“Dressing well is a form of good manners”   Tom Ford

When I’m traveling somewhere warm, I want to stay cool, be comfortable and look nice. 😎

I try to pack things that can be worn a lot of ways and can be worn together. Here are three things I like to wear in the summer.

1. A button down shirt.

A couple of years ago I scored one in the thrift store that I wear a lot. It is a beautiful blue men’s button down shirt. I wear it like a light jacket or as a bathing suit cover up.

I also have a light weight white linen shirt that I like to wear to protect me (somewhat) from the sun and cover my arms in the air conditioning.  It does wrinkle but still looks good!

2. I will admit I spend a lot of time in leggings and t-shirts. My favorite leggings right now…have pockets. Who doesn’t love pockets am i right? but I didn’t know I needed them in a legging until I had them. I can throw the oversized men’s shirt on over my workout clothes and go for a hands free walk now with just the phone, the dog and the poop bags.

3. I like to wear dresses when its hot.

I feel cool, feminine and it’s so easy to get dressed since it is just one garment. Find the right length and the right sneakers or sandals that look good to you and it can be super comfortable. I have a couple of simple slip dresses that I love, the one pictured below is just above the knee and one like this one that is just above ankle length on me.   Just throw the button down over it and you are good to go.

Finally – wear yourself with pride.

Whatever clothing you choose to express yourself in, have confidence in your posture and a spring in your step (literally). Exercising is key to moving well and with confidence!
