I am thinking about putting together a retreat for 2023 in Mexico.

I have a place in Bucerias (just outside of Puerto Vallarta) that I can rent – it is a big house I have been to twice before. The upsides to this location for a vacation are easy airport access, beach access and hikes in the jungle areas around Puerto Vallarta. Downsides are not much good cultural access, Bucerias is getting super crowded as is the airport, you may have been here with me before!

The other location I have contemplated is a smaller house in the town of Todos Santos on the Baja peninsula. The upsides to this spot are it’s cultural cache, loads of good art and shopping and the desert landscapes. The downsides are an hour bus ride from the airport, not right on the beach (close but not really walking distance), and it’s just being discovered and getting trendy.

Anywhere in the world the prices of things are going up and Mexico is no exception. Any place that is good, has an international airport and is somewhat easily accessible is attracting lots of tourists as folks want to travel again. I have no fixed dates at this time but I’m thinking about February.

No commitments at this time so I can’t answer on dates or prices. Thanks!
