I have always liked the color pink.
For certain skin tones, it can be so fresh and youthful to wear pink. I know it is associated with ‘pink for girls and blue for boys’ but both colors are beautiful and I think we have moved on from these gender associations- thank goodness!
The first thing I love this month is a pink button down shirt in a linen blend from the grocery store.
I bought this shirt in XL – but I would buy it bigger in a 1x or 2x if I bought another one. It needs to be oversized in my opinion. That way you can wear it open over a tank top or tied at the waist like I have it below. I’m at the Coutts Center in Nanton in this picture.
The next thing is pink lipstick. Lipstick is a thing again – maybe?
I won’t be completely getting rid of my mask right away but since I am double vaxed now, I like to go mask free outdoors. Hmmm, that sounds vaguely sexual somehow – haha.
Anyway…
I have a range of options here because, although I like bubble gum pink, not everyone does.
This lipstick is long lasting but slightly drying so I wear it with a balm overtop or underneath.
This lip balm goes overtop nicely, or it is lovely on its own as a subtle pink tint with a bit of sunscreen. The lips need to be protected from the sun! It is kind of expensive but it does feel amazing.
This liquid lipstick is a beautiful, a more muted pink that can be found lots of places and is fairly long lasting.
The last thing is this pink blush. Another makeup item- I know not everyone wears make-up and I totally get that!
I think you look great when you are true to yourself and your personal style.
But if you do wear makeup, a bit of pink blush can be so pretty. It really brightens up my face when i put it on. It looks highly pigmented in the pan (and it is) but if you just put a little on and blend it, it is so gorgeous.
What about you? do you like pink? let me know below.
I love your “three things I love” please keep doing these. I did think that gorgeous pink bucket hat would have made the pink list. You would love a pink summer scarf made locally. They are a luscious pink (theplaidmoosegallery.ca).
Thanks Linda, I will keep going with these and I am going to the website to check out the pink scarfs next!
I love me a pink bandana! It’s so old its almost see through. I use it to put up my hair, I share it with John so he can wet it for around his neck in this heat on location scouts…its a hanky when I cross country ski and need to wipe my dripping nose, its a handy thing to hand to a friend who broke down in tears…
I can picture it! 😍
