I found myself downtown last week to pick up a book from Indigiospirit and while there, I wandered into La Maison Simons.
I hardly ever go downtown – let’s face it I hardly go anywhere – but it was a productive trip and I got some cool stuff.
The first is the book I mentioned (I had pre-ordered) called “Lifting Heavy Things. Healing Trauma One Rep at a Time” .
I plan to do lots of reading this summer and I will have some more recommendations coming up in another blog post!
La Maison Simons (a Quebec retailer) has some really nice things! I love a bucket hat and the one I found at the store is terry cloth pink. And these socks ! They are perfect if you want to rock the sandals and socks look this summer.
Finally – the glasses! I decided to try ordering some glasses online. This Canadian company was really quick and I like the look of them. They say ‘first glasses are free’ but nothing is ever really free is it? The cost was about half of what I paid at a local store for my other ones. I like to have a few pairs of glasses and this one is a fun option.
What do you need to make your summer complete this year?
Love these posts Kathy! They always seem to be about things I’m interested in or that I’m having no luck finding online. I completely forgot about Simons – I always like the vibe when shopping there and I’m sure it’s less busy downtown right now. Great hat! I’ve had this on my wish list as lost the one I bought last summer☹️
I’m also on the hunt for a new one-piece bathing suit if you happen to have any suggestions of shops to try(?)
Your new glasses look really good – love the colour and shape on you.
Thank you for the newsletter and for sharing your stylish fashion sense, feminist views and educational fitness tips – much appreciated!
