Welcome to day three of your balance challenge!
For today’s practice you will need a pen or a pencil – but not for writing!
We start again with a little vision training. Small doses of this type of training is best. Vision training has been shown to improve hand eye coordination and is now used with all types of athletes.
We will do some compass lunges next. I love this one for practicing how to catch yourself by stepping when you find yourself tipping in one direction or another.
Our last move is called Saturday Night Fever (which probably shows my age!)
It starts pretty easy but as soon as we try it on one leg – yikes! It does get harder for sure. This is the way to test your stability in a controlled situation so when you go out into the world and off your mat, you have the advantage!
I hope you have enjoyed this little taste of balance training! We integrate these exercises and more into my monthly zoom classes.
I would love to have you join our zoom community, you don’t have to have your camera on (unless you want to!) and there are replays of every class so if you can’t make it, you can do the replay at your convenience.
Check out the details on my classes page.
Thanks again for joining me!
