The three things I love this month are some articles I have enjoyed reading recently.
The first one is about walking! Walking is the most natural of human movements and something we can take for granted.
I love walking and have been doing a ton of it here in Mexico City. This article is about walking in nature and although I am walking in the most urban of places, I agree with this line
“I take long walks because I have a body, and if I do not use my body then I become bad-tempered and apathetic.”
The second one is called the 25 Best Things to do in Mexico City – sent to me by someone coming on the retreat to Mexico City with me February 24 – 29 2020! (thank you)
This city is an art and food mecca and I love it!
The final article is about something I’m really interested in; co-housing. I had dinner recently with a geriatric social worker and she told me – “you really don’t want to end up in one of those places, no matter how much money you have” by which she meant a typical care facility for the elderly. I have been thinking about the idea of co-housing for a long time. This is an interesting article that makes it seem possible. What do you think?
