Three things I love – the Lukes Drug Mart edition – August 2018
Lukes drug mart is Calgary’s oldest independent pharmacy and the location in Bridgeland is jam packed with cool things!
From new and old Vinyl (for that hipster in your life) to locally made body and skin care lines, you can spend a couple of hours browsing while enjoying your soft serve ice cream (see below)
I recently went to pick up a botanical drink my friend (the fabulous Jill Blackie) recommended to me and I found some really great gift ideas.
Seedlip is a distilled non-alcoholic beverage that is delicious! I bought the Garden flavour and it is really nice with tonic. Quite like a Gin and tonic – without the alcohol! It is not cheap, but neither is real gin. Since I have gone through menopause, drinking alcohol seems to really effect me more, and not in a good way. This is a treat (who doesn’t love a gin and tonic on a hot day?) without any side effects.
The Midori Color paper note books are so pretty and a very reasonable price. I got the pink one. These lovely journals may show up in a gift bag at one of my retreats soon!
Soft Serve ice cream made from all natural ingredients needed a mention here. The flavour I got was twist – a combo of the blueberry white chocolate flavour swirled with the milk flavour. YUM.
