I like to travel. A lot.

I have been to so many places around the world but I have to say Alberta in the summer is as stunning as anywhere I have been. The mountains are always incredible but going south of Calgary is worth a trek too.

I recently got away with girlfriends to a concert, dinner, garden tour and overnight stay in Nanton Alberta. Nanton is 45 minutes from the south end of Calgary.

  1. We went to the beautiful Coutts center for a outdoor concert and dinner on a Sunday evening. The Coutts center used to be the land and home of Jim Coutts. He donated the property to the University of Lethbridge to become an arts center and gathering place. We didn’t see the art housed there but the gardens are spectacular!

Definitely worth a visit.

2. We stayed that night in a stunning apartment in the heart of Nanton that had a roof top garden.

Heavenly!

The Air BnB hosts left us soft drinks, butter, coffee, cream, and freshly baked bread. I highly recommend.

3. On our way out there, we stopped at the Leighton Center. Another art center gem! You can shop, wander around and look at the art or have a picnic on the hill over looking paradise.

Get out of town this summer, see some art and nature and relax!
