I’m set to get really holistic on you next month for May so this month I thought I’d give you some pleasures.
Guilty pleasures. Stress relievers.
I am leaving out that stuff that I really don’t recommend like chocolate indulgence trail mix and wine. Doesn’t mean I don’t like them – just not recommending them. 🙂
You Tube videos.
Specifically skin care and makeup tutorials or comedy shows. In the case of the tutorials, for some weird reason I love the direct to the camera chat about something that does not relate to the sorrows of the real world, is not about yoga or movement and always includes a transformation. It is like candy floss for my brain.
I love comedy specials and late night comedians like Sam Bee or Bill Maher. Laughter is very stress relieving.
Epsom Salt baths.
Before you groan and and think ‘really? a bath?’ Yes. I stand behind this cliche of a stress buster because its only lame if you don’t do it.
For maximum guilty pleasure stay a long time and keep refilling with warm water. Use an expensive bit of bath oil and 2 cups of epsom salts. The magnesium you probably need will soak right into you via your skin. I’m relaxed just thinking about it.
Pinterest.
I feel guilty about two of my three being social media suggestions but moderation in all things!
Every once in a while I do like to look at nice pictures of things on pinterest. Of course there is everything you can think of there but my favorites are food and fashion.
