I have spent a wonderful summer visiting friends and hanging out with people I love.

Nothing is more important to me than the relationships in my life, whether its family or friends.

I’m so lucky to know so many cool people, and this month I’m going to tell you about three local events or businesses I love.

Equinox Vigil.

This event was started by my friend Sharon Stevens. Some of you know her from our Mexico retreats. Others probably just know her from something else because she truly seems to know everyone. 🙂

Equinox Vigil is a free, family-friendly event to honour the deceased in creative and meaningful ways. It includes art and music and beauty everywhere.

It is an annual event at Union Cemetery that is so magical and meaningful – you need to go!  Check out the website here.

I wrote about loss here not long ago and I will be going this year to remember.

Twisted Basil.

This is a catering company and a sweet little cafe and store in Cochrane. My last retreat at Nipika featured Twisted Basil catering and it was FABULOUS.

We had delicious, fresh food – and they sell many of their specialties at Farmers Markets and of course in the store. If you are in Cochrane for lunch – drop by and say hi to Caroline or Leslie for me!
